About Us

Lying between the Arabian Sea on the west and an extensive track of backwaters and a vast stretch of paddy fields in the east, Alleppey is known as the venice of the east . It was the centre of kerala’s trade and commerce . but today Alleppey sleeps in memories , the memories of a glorious past:
But in yesterday and today alike , Alleppey was never in the background for its social activities. It still plays a vital role in the social cultural activities of the State.

Charter
Way back in 1949 some Rotarians from cochin under the leadership of PDG. S. Koder and PDG. With their untiring efforts the dream came true and the seed of Rotary was sown in this soil on 25 July 1949. And so goes the glorious history of this Club. As Tennyson says, “men may come and men may go, but I go on for ever”. Born in yesterdays, this history flows through the present to the unknown future. Tomorrow is dream for us and the only reality is “Now” All things are now, all power, all possibility all action is now. All things are possible now and only now, because man has all power now. So let us strive to make history again-the history of today. But” …………miles to go before we sleep”.
